For my first entry, I want to share an especially delicious and nutritious smoothie bowl!

Ingredients:

1 cup spinach, 1 banana, 1/2 cup skim milk, 1/2 avocado, 1 tablespoon chia seeds, 1 tsp organic honey

Topped with:

1 tablespoon granola, 1 tablespoon organic raisins, 10 blueberries, and a sprinkle of cinnamon (okay, the sprinkle was a little strong)

On the side: CHERRIES, yum!

I have found that smoothies always taste better in bowls. Maybe it is because I get to add fun toppings. This smoothie bowl is so good for you because of the veggies and fruits combined. The chia seeds that were blended in, are for that needed energy boost around lunchtime. Chia seeds also provide ultimate nutrition: they are loaded with protein & fiber and are an excellent source of Omega-3 fatty acids.
