I made my own homemade pizza and I actually REALLY enjoyed it! I have to share it with you all. Remember, you can choose the pizza crust (whole wheat, white, pita), pizza sauce and toppings to your liking.
Low carb, low calorie whole wheat pizza crust (220 cal)
Rao’s pizza sauce
4 fresh mushrooms
1/4 green pepper
Red onion slices
Cilantro, fresh (a few sprigs)
Feta cheese crumbles
First, I preheated the oven to 425 degrees. Then, while it was heating up, I quickly cooked my mushrooms in a small pan over some coconut oil non-stick spray. I topped my pizza crust with the sauce, toppings, and cheese, and baked it for 10 minutes.
I had been craving pizza and it was surprisingly good (because I have HIGH pizza expectations–it’s a pizza my heart!). Next time you really want some pizza, take AESecond and give it a shot in your own kitchen. You may surprise yourself like I did!
